The Chartwell Practice was founded in 1999 by partners Frank Startin and Steven Bourne who between them have over 35 years experience in accounting and business advice. Over the years in dealing with hundreds of businesses and as a result of extensive research by the Institute of Chartered Accountants they gained a good picture of what clients REALLY want from their accountant.
It was clear that most traditional firms of accountants were not meeting those needs. Frank Startin and Steven Bourne decided to do something about this and set up their own firm specifically designed to meet the needs of clients rather than simply offering traditional accountancy compliance work (though, of course, the practice still does this if that is all that is wanted!).
As a result the partners and all of the team at The Chartwell Practice are passionate about client service and delivering what clients really want. We believe in not only helping our clients to prepare their accounts and tax returns but also to help them get to grips with what it takes to make a business more successful and even more profitable.
