Description
ChatFIRST.COM INC was founded back in December of 1999,When a small group of friends decided they didn't want to continue chatting under the oppression of a certain chat site on the net. Specially after such site closed out their chat room they had been using at that chat site for over 3 years.
They felt chatters should have a place where they could be allowed to basic things like being able to change their nicks, being able to control their chat room with no bot interference, being able to have a conversation in their private rooms without the intervention of an IRC Operator every 20 minutes , being able to express themselves in the way they wanted without the danger of being Klined. ect.
They also wanted WebTV users to have all the rights on IRC that computers users have, Freedom to also change nicks, be in multiple rooms at a time ect; They wanted to put WebTV at the same level as PC users by creating WebTV support to do all kinds of IRC commands, thus taking WebTV to a higher level not as second class IRC users.
