on May 9th was a rousing success! The exclusive evening at the Union League Club of Chicago featured a dinner buffet, hors d'oeuvres and wine, performances by Chicago a cappella, and a silent auction. A highlight of the evening was a special presentation to guest honoree Dr. Anne Heider. Chicago a cappella raised over $30,000 through this fundraiser, and we gratefully thank everyone who helped make this unforgettable night! View photos from the evening.

Chicago a cappella has commissioned a major new choral work along with Chanticleer, the acclaimed men's vocal ensemble based in San Francisco. The work, The Wanderer by Ezequiel Viñao, will receive its Midwest premiere during Chicago a cappella's 2006-07 season. Subscriptions for next season are now on sale. Chicago a cappella has met the challenge match from the Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley Foundation. By raising $10,000 in new donations this year, we will receive an additional $5,000 from the Donnelley Foundation. Thank you to all our new donors who supported Chicago a cappella this year and made this wonderful achievement possible.
