Chicksnchips is run by a team of poker players and developers worldwide. Deanna Couras Goodson is the editor - and main contributor - of this site currently. Deanna's been playing poker since she was five years old when her Uncle Al, who passed away at the end of 2005, taught her 5-card draw. But...she didn't know you could make a living at the game!!!
So, Deanna only played from time to time. After earning her degree, Deanna worked in the software industry for a while. That was until a car accident, fibromyalgia, a move to Texas and a second pregnancy occurred. She discovered N/L Texas Holdem - and became obsessed with Poker - when Bravo began hosting its' Celebrity Poker Showdown tournaments. She then starting watching all the reruns that ESPN aired of the World Series of Poker and the Travel Channel's World Poker Tour. She opened her first internet poker account in October 2004 and hasn't looked back since.
Deanna aspires to play at the WCOOP (World Series of Online Poker), run by Pokerstars.com - which is just one of the many online poker rooms we are affiliated with -, this year and hopes to get into the WSOP (World Series of Poker) or a WPT (World Poker Tour) Main Event within the next 2-3 years. She logs multiple hours of play every week and is a true student of the game.
