Title edit
Chiltern Brewery, Buckinghamshire, England
Description edit
CHEERS! - from The Chiltern Brewery - one of England’s great little breweries. Family-owned and run since our launch in 1980, we have subsequently set out to reintroduce the lost concept of enjoyment for our shoppers in the course of considering our range of products, and to introduce new products and new ways of enjoying them at the same time.
As a result, we now have probably the most diverse range of beers, both draught and bottled, brewery chandlery, and associated services of any brewery in the United Kingdom. Indeed we are delighted that our chandlery range has been enthusiastically described as "the best all-rounder" in the U.K. by Mrs Susan Nowak, of the prestigious British Guild of Beer Writers, in her book the Beer Cook Book.
In days of generally declining product quality - and accompanying blandness of presentation - we have moved specifically in the opposite direction, by deliberately using only raw materials of the highest quality available and preferably of English or British extraction. As a result of our insistence on supreme quality, we have been privileged to have a number of beers mashed-in and launched by prominent local people including the Earl of Buckinghamshire, the 10th direct descendant of John Hampden; Mr Colin Dexter, author of Inspector Morse; and Sir Nigel Mobbs KStJ JP, Lord-Lieutenant for Buckinghamshire.
