Description
ChinaPortal.com is a worldwide video streaming and video on demand entertainment service, allowing Chinese ex-pats living abroad to access Chinese language programming through their broadband internet connections.
Part of the MediaZone family of consumer-focused entertainment websites, ChinaPortal broadcasts Chinese video including TV dramas, movies, talk shows, sports and music.
As part of ChinaPortal's future program expansion plans, the service will soon include more than 20 LIVE free channels and cover most of ChinaPortal's video content.
ChinaPortal began their subscription service in 2004. In 2007, ChinaPortal partnered with CCTV to provide LIVE and video on demand coverage of the 2007 Chinese New Year event from Bejing, China via their broadband internet service. This was the first time in history the Chinese New Year gala was available in its entirety to those living outside of China.
