The Rho Iota Kappa Chapter of the Chi Phi Fraternity is the oldest fraternity on the University of Rhode Island campus. Rho Iota Kappa was founded in 1907 as the first fraternity at URI. In 1962 Rho Iota Kappa became affiliated with the oldest national fraternity, Chi Phi.
