- Chisel & Plane Workshop is a family owned and operated business located in Southern Ohio. The art of grip making and woodworking is performed in our workshop by professional Woodworker, D. Chris Whisler. Chris has twenty years experience in custom woodworking and furniture making. For eight years Chris and his wife, Peggy owned and operated a successful custom furniture business in Ohio. At that time they had a workshop and two galleries in Pleasant Plain and Lebanon where they sold and took orders for the custom furniture that Chris built in the workshop. For five years Chris was also a master woodworker for a grand piano restoration shop. Grip making combines two of Chris' favorite pastimes, woodworking and single action revolvers.
