Overview: DNA sequencing is an important tool in modern medical analysis. Newer next-generation, or “next-gen,” sequencing techniques have been developed which require new methods of data analysis. Current techniques are too slow and not tailored for the output of next-gen machines. We aim to build a robust "tool-kit" of next-gen data analysis software which is easily adaptable for various experimental procedures. Design Requirments: 1. Mapping short reads back to the genome and detect SNPs.
