Christina is a singer/songwriter from Glasgow, Scotland and has sung before live audiences most of her life. She began in her mother's small hotel on the outskirts of England's Lake District and by the age of fourteen she was singing in dance halls, restaurants and in local theatres. She received classical voice training from Bill Ibbotson, the pianist for the great conductor, Sir Malcolm Seargent and his orchestra and Isabel Bailey, the Opera star. Christina then became one of the few solo sopranos for the English travelling choir, 'The Centralaires', which appeared on B.B.C. Television. She also formed her own folk band, 'The Mustard Seed', which performed throughout Britain. As a soloist she did a twenty-seven-town tour in Norway and sang in Germany, France, Switzerland, Spain, Sweden and Austria. Christina produced, directed and played the lead role in an original musical, "Sitting on the Fence", which received applause in theatres and schools in dozens of U.K. cities including, Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool and London. She has also appeared in musicals at the Westminster Central Hall and the famous Royal Albert Hall , London. Prior to her move to the U.S.A., she was the lead singer in 'Country Matters', a bluegrass/country rock band. Americans now enjoy her voice and acoustic guitar. Her repertoire is beautifully versatile featuring original, contemporary and traditional folk songs from Ireland, Scotland and America. She also performs in concert for children. Her song selections excite the ears of Pre-school to High school youngsters. Christina is on radio internationally and currently performs as a headliner at many major Celtic festivals, theatres, folk clubs, coffee houses and concert venues in the USA, Canada and Europe.
