Christopher Reeves VA Lower School
Description
This is a rural village school, set back from the main road. It is situated a short walking distance from the Church. The school was founded in 1842 and we have a ”Trust Deed” relating to this. It originally occupied a traditional Victorian building next to the church.
The new school was built on the current site in 1966 and then comprised of two classrooms and a hall. The school was extended in 2004 and now has a further classroom and library. There is a tarmac playground, which is to be extended, and a large playing field. There is a Pergola with seating on the playing field and the old swimming pool area has been converted into a secluded garden area with the help and support of the PTA.
