Epiphany was the first new parish to be founded in the Archdiocese of Louisville after the completion of the Second Vatican Council. It was the Vision of the founding community that Epiphany would be a place where the conclusions of the Council, as expressed in its documents, would be integrated into parish life. It was determined that the charism of Epiphany would be expressed through three particular aspects of the Catholic tradition:

Our unique worship space with its unfinished appearance and glass walls reminds us that our own journeys are unfinished and that ultimately our faith requires us to focus outwards to participate in and impact the wider world.

Acknowledging our oneness with God and all creation, we respond to our baptismal call by proclaiming the good news that Jesus is Lord and that he is with us.
