The Minuteman Implant Club (MIC) is an organization of people who support cochlear implants, their users and families of users. We are the implantees, family, friends and professionals who are associated with cochlear implants.
We meet five times a year to share experiences, listen to guest speakers and support one another. Our meetings generally last two hours and may include presentations, club news and a social time. We have an annual picnic and a mid-winter social that is family focused with activities for children.
Meetings are held in September, November, January, March and May. The January meeting is our social event known as January Jubilee. The picnic is usually held in June or July. The MIC hosts the Northeast Cochlear Implant Convention in Sturbridge, MA. The convention is a Friday to Sunday event chock full of educational and social activities for cochlear implant adults, families and the professionals who work with them. The next convention will be held July 15 - 17, 2005. Details will soon be available on the link found on the homepage.
