At the age of 15 Bruce was the senior reporter, editor and printer of the school newspaper at Boys Town of the Desert. 35 years later on May 28, 2005 Bruce C. Adamson turned 50 years old!

Bruce Campbell Adamson, born May 28, 1955 (JFK's May 29th) and baptized at Saint Timothy's Church Beverly Glen and Pico in West Los Angeles. Adamson is a genealogist and historian who has traveled throughout the country gathering photographs and material for these books. Adamson graduated in 1985 from Santa Monica City College. Following in his father's footsteps (Douglas M. Adamson) Bruce majored in real estate receiving his real estate license in 1981. One might assume that because Adamson is descended from so many influential people that he is very wealthy. Not so! Adamson has worked very hard on putting his books together and this is the source of his income. I did not inherit money from George Ely, Abner Bartlett, James or Harold Adamson nor George Calvert. This is what builds character, developing one's own skills and earning their own way. As a young man, I remember two incidents of note. This is only brought out as a historian and what would I be today if things had been different. Once, while at the Santa Monica Court House I was on probation, Elvis Presley was crusing around the parking lot at the Santa Monica court house. Did not get to see him, he was too busy getting ready for his defense in a divorce from Priscilla. An emailer pointed out to me via email that they walked out afterwards arm and arm. That is class. Turning 50 last year it dawned upon me that Elvis passing at age 42 was very young. That was Oct, 9, 1973 about the same time the photo at the bottom of this page where Bruce has sword and is ready for Sushi. My probation officer then was Mr. Bronson, another piece of history was that I was offered a chance to move into Paul Newman's house in Brentwood. Nothing ever came of this, I have no regrets, for if I had I most likely would not have found out about the interesting family background. Yet, I respect Paul Newman and everything he stands for as a human being.
