Title
Cimarron Rose Bed And Breakfast
Description
Our Country Inn is both named for Sheri's love of wild roses and for her horse, "Cimarron" (Spanish for wild & untamed) whom she purchased and caught as a wild colt on a Washington State Indian Reservation in 1987. Offering both challenges and a close bond through friendship, Cimarron is a large part of life here at Cimarron Rose.
Sheri McWethy is a naturalist by nature and horsewoman at heart who has worked with the Bureau of Land Management in the El Malpais National Conservation Area. She has also worked with the National Park Service and National Forest Service in many places, including the "backyard" of her Inn, "Cimarron Rose" as a Fire Look-out on the Mt. Taylor Ranger District's Cibola National Forest.
Sheri's partner, Tom Kennedy is the Director of the A:shiwi A:wan Museum and Heritage Center at Zuni Pueblo. Our canine companion, "Kimo" (named for the KiMo Theater in Albuquerque, with its world renouned Pueblo-Deco Architecture) is often the, "Official Greeter" at the Inn.
