Description
Like He, L.Ac., received his medical training at Guangzhou Medical College in Guangzhou, China from 1990-1995. He practiced as an orthopedic surgeon in Qiao Yi Yuan Hospital (China) from 1995 to 1998. He has intensive experience with laminectomy operations for lumbar disc herniation, and has treated hundreds of patients with chronic or acute orthopedic conditions, either by surgery or combining Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 1998, due to his outstanding experience and unique medical approach, he was invited by Ohio State University, College of Medicine, to act as a visiting scholar. Dr. He taught Clinical Anatomy and Neuroanatomy, and also instructed dissection, gave clinical correlation and review to first-year medical students. He assisted in the creation of an on-line anatomy lab website and completed his assignment at Ohio State in December of 1999.
Having distinguished himself in Western medicine, Dr. He relocated to California and studied Traditional Chinese Medicine at Samra University. He currently holds a valid California Acupuncture License and is an experienced herbalist.
As a physician trained in Western medicine, along with the background of Chinese integrative medicine, Dr. He has a unique healing perspective. He believes that sound health results from the attainment of a balance between the universe, the human body and the mind. As the universe is in constant motion, each treatment is dynamic and tailored to the patient based on individual constitution, energy level, stress level, time of the treatment, weather and season.
