Houston Civic Symphony - Houston's First and Finest Community Orchestra

Since our beginning, thirty four seasons ago, the Civic has had a two-fold purpose: to present great classical music to the Houston Community, and to provide a creative outlet for talented musicians. Our members are engaged in a broad spectrum of professional occupations and share a common joy in performing great orchestral literature before appreciative audiences.
As a non-profit community orchestra, we depend on the generosity of you, our sponsors, friends and donors, who make the contributions of time and money to make this possible. Without the community, there can be no community orchestra, so if you appreciate what we are doing, we can use your help. Voluntary donations of time and money are what make us tick. If you are a musician and wish to participate, please let us know. We can always use a few more players.
We enrich your life by bringing fine classical music to you for little or no cost. For those who wish to experience the fine tradition of classical music but cannot attend the Houston Symphony or Houston Grand Opera, what alternatives are there?
