When applicable, evidence of employment within the Municipality of Clarington or payment of taxes to the Municipality must be shown. An application by a child under the age of twelve shall be made on his/her behalf by his/her parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian shall be responsible for any fines or charges incurred by a borrower who is under the age of eighteen, is in full-time attendance at any elementary or secondary school, and resides with such parent or guardian.
annual fee of $30.00. Temporary residents of Clarington may become members for a four month period. A fee of $30.00, of which $20.00 is refundable, is required. The $20.00 will be refunded when all transactions have been cleared from the card-holder's record. Every person applying for a library card must provide adequate identification showing their name and current mailing address.
There is a $2.00 fee to replace a lost card. The card-holder is responsible for any material borrowed on that card until the Library has been notified of the loss.
