- In January 2001, former Altec Lansing Executive Vice President of Engineering, Tommy Freedman, started a new company whose primary product line was Clarisys. With a team of engineers they developed the principal product, the Claritel i750 Internet phone. Tragically, Tommy Freedman died several months after the product was developed.
