- The Centre for Law and Research lnternational (CLARION) was founded in 1993. It was registered as a non-governmental organization under the Non Governmental Organisations Coordination Act in January 1994. CLARION began in response to Kenya's need for focused social and legal research to sustain and enhance human rights democratization and good governance in the country. Its founder members were researchers from the disciplines of law, political science and education.
