- The present-day Casa-Museu Dr. Anastácio Gonçalves was built to the orders of the painter José Malhoa to serve as both his residence and studio. It was based on the project of the architect Norte Júnior, dated 1904-1905. Lisbon’s first “artist’s house” won the Valmor Prize for architecture in 1905 and was integrated into the plan for the city’s urban development.
- A actual Casa-Museu Dr.Anastácio Gonçalves, um projecto do arquitecto Norte Júnior datado de 1904-05, foi mandada construir pelo pintor José Malhoa para sua casa de habitação e atelier de trabalho. A primeira casa-de-artista da capital, Prémio Valmor em 1905, integrava-se urbanisticamente no plano de crescimento da cidade de Lisboa.
