C & S Sports Center, Inc. was opened in April of 1976 under the original name of C & S Yamaha. Under the ownership of Gary Cotsman and James Stovak, the business first opened on South Mission Street in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.
Six years later, in June of 1982, the business moved to its current location of 4741 East Pickard Street in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Gary Cotsman left the partnership in April of 1984 due to a change of interest. However, the name C & S, which stands for Cotsman and Stovak, has held strong ever since.
When C & S Sports Center, Inc. opened in 1976 it housed an original square footage of approximately 1,600 square feet. Throughout the years the business has experienced continued growth. The building has been expanded four times since it first opened its doors and now stands at 17,000 square feet and growing.
