Description
The Uranium National Company S.A. was set up by the Government's Decision no. 785 of December, 2nd, 1997, modified by Government Decision no 729/2004, has for administration the uranium mineral resources existing in Romania and deals with geological research and exploitation activities for uranium ores, ores processing and concentrates refining, their transport and marketing.
By a performant management the UNC S.A. elaborates flexible strategies which enables anticipating and answering to all the unavoidable changes during the transition period, in order to maintain the production capacities in conditions of effectiveness, by qualitative competitiveness increase and production decreasing costs.
By the restructuring and uranium production raising programme are provided the general means and were elaborated projects, in order to restore the areas affected by the uranium exploitation and milling, and also to promote efficient means for environment protection of the zones in work.
