Bay Area Service Network for Families and Neighborhoods
Description
This section provides information about our "Service Network", Safe and Aware" Campaign and executive staff including our Spokesperson, Stephanie Mann (see bottom of page).
Our "Safety and Service Network" and its Safety Awareness Programs are the founding missions of the 1996 'Center for Community Peacemakers' of Oakland, California. Originally, our services were directed towards domestic violence issues, but over time, we included peace education programs for kids, teens and neighborhoods. In 2001, we blended all of our materials and experiences into a national safety awareness campaign to strengthen families, keep kids and teens safe and provide teens with leadership and citizenship service projects.
Our "Safety and Service Network" and national "Safe and Aware" Campaign promotes teen and community service to help families and neighbors organize and build safety networks for kids other teens with safety awareness, recognizing differences in people and finding ways to reduce crime and violence for the good of all.
