Description
Danny McDermott is originally from Albany, with a B.S. in Ceramic Engineering from Alfred University. No, that's not a joke. It's a real degree. A dramatic actor since 1987, he recieved accolades from various newspapers in Alfred (NY) and Lima (Ohio) for his performances. Aside from guest hosting Barbara Walters' "The View" on ABC with 20/20's Jon Stostle, McDermott has also appeared on Comedy Central, the Queen Latifah Show, and in several commercials. You can see him performing stand-up all over the city, especially at Stand Up NY, the Underground Lounge, and Nevada Smith's. His duties with the Soap Box include overseeing the day-to-day operation of the clubs and auditioning new talent, among other things.
Writer/comedian Steve Hofstetter is the author of "Student Body Shots" and the mind behind the nationally syndicated column, "Observational Humor." Currently on tour promoting SBS, Steve plans to appear at more than two dozen schools this semester. Hofstetter, a New York City native, is a regular at all three Soap Box clubs, and currently writes for ESPN and Maxim magazines. His duties with the Comedy Soap Box involve overseeing Soap Box personel and design/development of the website, among other things.
Lorali's been with the Comedy Soapbox for 2 years. With Danny McDermott,she co-produced the primetime weekend shows at the Underground Lounge. Lorali left the Underground with Danny to start a new room at RB's Westside. She promotes, produces, and books talent for the Thurs.,Fri.,and Sat. primetime shows. She also runs the Soapbox open mic on Tuesday.
