Owned by the Patterson and Ward families, the Commodore opened for business on Christmas day 1971. We're a family owned business with a service that is genuine and facilities that are the envy of many resorts. Our guests are names, not just room numbers.

Comprising nine international business-class rooms and "The Commodore Suite" guests can enjoy an airport "meet and greet", total-climate integrated air conditioning, and feature glass wall bringing natural light into the bathroom. The ability to watch television from the bath is enticing. Added to that "The Commodore suite" offers a separate lounge with home theatre, spa bath and, of course, views of the magnificent Southern Alps.
