Community Rights Counsel: Taking Back Community Rights
edit Description
Community Rights Counsel (CRC) is a nonprofit, public interest law firm based in Washington DC that was formed in 1997 to assist communities in protecting their health and welfare. CRC provides strategic assistance to state and local government attorneys in defending land use laws, environmental protections, public health measures, and other community protections. CRC has published a litigation handbook, which assists state and local attorneys defending against takings claims. CRC gives presentations and conducts workshops, helps governments secure amicus support and, in critical cases, offers free representation to state and local governments and other clients.
