Any organization is only as good as its people and we believe we have the best. COMPASS Investment Advisors, LLC was established by Lou Conrad, who oversees every client relationship. Lou is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and received an MBA from The University of Chicago. He has extensive experience managing money, including managing a top performing mutual fund, and providing financial planning services. He has consulted with individuals and families, as well as corporate pension and 401(k) plans.
Previously, Lou was an Investment Consultant for CIGNA's Retirement & Investment Services division, consulting with corporate clients across the eastern half of the United States. He created asset allocation strategies for corporate pension plans and advised defined benefit and defined contribution clients on the selection of funds. Lou also provided performance evaluation and monitoring services of existing funds.
Prior to joining CIGNA, Lou was Cofounder and Chief Investment Officer of a financial planning and investment advisory affiliate of an international law firm based in Boston. He oversaw the investment, product development, operations, and systems areas of this rapidly growing financial planning and investment advisory firm and assisted with its marketing efforts. During his tenure, the firm's discretionary assets under management grew more than 500%, with total assets of $500 million.
