Description
Bernadette is a multi-talented pioneer and referred to by some as Australia's first lady of Latin percussion. In addition to Latin, she specialises in West African and Middle Eastern drumming. Bernadette has trained with master drummers and is one of the few women in Australia that perform Malambo, a fusion of drumming and dance created by the Argentinean cowboys; gauchos. Bernadette has performed with many fine world music acts, including some of Melbourne's best known Latin and African dance bands. She has played at folk and world music festivals, municipal festivals, benefit concerts, clubs and corporate events. Bernadette has performed at renowned venues such as The Melbourne Concert Hall, Spiegeltent and the Victorian Arts Centre, Nightcat, Dizzy's and Crown Casino Entertainment Complex
