- Copbids.com was the idea of a current and active South Florida police officer. After nine years as a law enforcement officer, he accumulated new and used equipment that sat around for years. In order to eliminate some of the items that were no longer needed, he began listing them on Ebay. Due to the fact that he was unable to target the law enforcement community, the sales were not successful. Realizing that many others were in the same position, he concluded there needed to be a site that specifically targeted law enforcement officers, that assisted them to buy, sell and trade supplies/equipment. Subsequently, the idea of Copbids.com was born.
