Description
COPA is an alliance of people brought together by curiosity of the unknown. Started as a group of friends, the COPA group explores areas that have been reported to be haunted using standard tools available to anyone: video cameras, audio cassette recorders, digital cameras, etc. While some attention has been given to the fairly-new concept of Urban Exploration, the primary focus has been on paranormal investigation.
The Internet has become a dump of sorts for all sorts of tales ranging from places wrought with strange noises to face-to-face confrontations with the supernatural. Our project is geared towards objectively investigating sites of these reports and conveying to the wondering public what OUR experience was like and how it compares to the reports.
Some people ask if our goal is to prove or disprove the existence of ghosts or other paranormal events. Our response is always the same: Neither. We simple want to see for ourselves and figure that we should take our experiences and put them up somewhere to help counteract the rampant infestation of web site postings that are ill-designed and, for some, completely inaccurate.
