Newport Rhode Island Photography - John W. Corbett

As a young photographer with a natural eye for composition, a deep knowledge of technical aspects of the art, and a BS degree in professional photography from Rochester Institute of Technology, John Corbett began as a magazine and newspaper photographer. For eight years as a photojournalist he captured sports, portraits, social events, and scenery in the air, on the water and on the ground. He photographed rough weather and royalty, football and festivals, Countess Szapary at her home The Breakers and Count Basie at home at the Newport Jazz Festival. He processed thousand of rolls of film and printed thousands of great photographs to the delight of all who saw them.
His photographs have appeared in The New York Times, Sports Illustrated, Life, Architectural Digest, The New York Times Magazines, Antiques, and many other magazines.
He opened a studio in 1989 and expanded his photographic services to include weddings, studio portraiture, public relations, aerial and product photography. He takes advantage of whatever Nature provides to enhance his photographs. A foggy night lends softness to his portraits. A sunset crazy with color becomes a part of a wedding celebration. A deep snowfall makes breath-taking fine art photographs.
