Plot of the movie

Corpse Bride carries on in the dark, romantic tradition of Tim Burton’s classic films Edward Scissorhands and The Nightmare Before Christmas. Set in a 19th century European village, this stop-motion, animated feature follows the story of Victor (Jonny Depp), a young man who is whisked away to the underworld and wed to a mysterious Corpse Bride (Helen Bonham-Carter), while his real bride, Victoria (Emily Watson), waits bereft in the land of the living.

The movie is based on a Jewish folktale. Tim Burton's style of making movies on unique themes is also evident in this movie. The movie is also considered a successor to Tim Burton's "The nightmare before Christmas".But technically the movie is much better than "The nightmare before Christmas."

Tim Burton's "Corpse Bride" is a very nice movie with intuitive images and colorful voices. The visuals of the movie have made it worth seeing because the story is entertaining not logical.But overall the movie is awesome keeping in view the technicalities used.

Tim Burton usually known for his "Gothic" atmosphere in his movies is an excellent director. Batman films, sleepy hollow , Charlie and the chocolate factory and Bride corpse are one of his best movies. "Corpse bride" won the academy award for the best animated feature film.Burton has also won golden globe awards for his films.

The soundtrack

The soundtrack of the movie was composed by Danny Elfmann. He also gave music for Tim Burton's "Charlie and the chocolate factory"."Remains of the day" and "Tears to shed" are the best tracks.Elfmann has composed wonderful music keeping in view the Gothic atmosphere of the film.
