- Country Porch Primitives began as a hobby for Jan Martin, she enjoyed decorating her log home in Country Décor and decided to get into the retail end of the business. Since the Martin family already owned a supermarket and fabric store she just added a small shop on the second floor of Martins Country Markets in their Hayloft Fabrics department.
