With a mutual desire to express their ideals through ministry based performances Wim Pols, Hans Steeds, Mijndert van der Beek and Ruud van de Meeberg start in 1986 the Country Trail Band next to their other musical pursuits.
In 1990 each member for himself decides to fully concentrate on his ministry in the Country Trail Band and stops his other musical pursuits.
In 1993 the band had a key role in the Netherlands’ Christian Country Tour, featuring Nathan and Susan Forrister (USA) and Thirza (Nl).

An Unchanging Message To A Changing World
When it comes to Christian music, The Country Trail Band is one name which stands out in public opinion, reflecting integrity, trust and respect. After 2 decades of touring in The Netherlands, Germany, Scotland, Belgium, Austria, The Czech Republik and the USA and with 10 recordings, the Country Trail Band stands out as the "Dutch premier Christian country band."
As Christian country music band the Country Trail Band remains consistently dedicated to expressing their ideals through their ministry based performances.
We are aimed at communicating that important, live saving message through our music. This was the reason for setting up the Country Trail Band in 1986. Today ( 2007/12/20 ) nothing has changed that fundamental!
What all songs of the Country Trail Band have in common, is the clear, unchanging message in which God's son Jesus Christ is the center.
We like to be an instrument in the hands of our unchanging Lord Jesus (Hebr. 13:8) and we're praying that our music and ministry may help people in making the most important choice in life, so we are aimed at communicating that important, live saving message through our music.
The foundation of the Country Tail Band is the Holy Bible. We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God that has infallible authority of his own. We believe in a triune God, Who is from eternity and Who reveals Himself in His Word as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe in Jesus Christ, truly God and truly man, born from the virgin Mary, Who substitutionaly has suffered and died for our sin, Who corporaly is risen from the dead, Who is ascended to Heaven and will return personally with power and glory.
