Self Catering Cottages Boscastle - Holiday Accommodation - North Cornwall
edit Description
The Courtyard Cottages originally date from the 17th century, when they were built as a mill for grinding and storing corn and grain for the surrounding area. The old Cornish stone walls are from two to three feet thick and have traditional slate roofs. The courtyard provides a pleasant suntrap and an al-fresco breakfast or evening drink can be enjoyed at one of the slate tables.
To the side of the courtyard are a barbecue and picnic tables, with a play area for the children. There is a games room complete with table tennis, pool table and for adults, a full size snooker table.
From Courtyard Farm is a long winding lane, named Sylvan by Sir John Betjeman, that leads to Boscastle. The lane has a picturesque stream at its side, flowing down to join the river.
