Description
CPATS is a Catholic support group of orthodox lay Catholics loyal to the Holy See and the Church's Magisterium whose primary interest is Catholic apologetics and evangelization. This CPATS group meets in and around Natick, Massachusetts where the Webmaster, Mike Humphrey lives. (About 20 miles west of Boston.) Our membership comes from around the Boston area out toward the Worcester area. We answer questions and clarify misperceptions visitors have about what the Church teaches via e-mail, and meet periodically via pizza parties to address questions and concerns we have about the local Church here in the Boston, Massachusetts area. I consider ourselves a mini "Catholic Answers" of Massachusetts.
For those who may question the kind of Catholics we are; all the apologists who answer questions on our web site:
Weather via the "Net" or at a pizza party, we also talk about "situational apologetics". By this I mean discerning proper ways of handling perceived liturgical or Church abuses and suggesting proper ways of handling each unique situation whether by charitable conversation with the pastor, priest, deacon, religious, their immediate superior, or layman or by just leaving it in the Hands of Our Lord by our personal prayer.
