CRID - Connecticut Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf

The Connecticut Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (CRID) is a non-profit organization founded in 1971 and is one of more than 60 local chapters affiliated with the national Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID). RID is the only national association dedicated to the professional development of interpreters and transliterators. Founded in 1964, the goal of RID is to promote the profession of interpreting.
Foster professional support for interpreters, novice through experienced, in attaining new information and knowledge in areas that concern the interpreting profession.
CRID members are interpreters, Deaf consumers, professionals, and community supporters. Discounts on workshops are available to members. All members are encouraged to attend and participate in membership meetings, workshops, social events, and other CRID activities.
