About the Games and Puzzles: We strive to offer a large selection of quality wood puzzles at very high quality to price ratios. Most of our puzzles are classic, going back many years. Our grandfathers and great grandfathers would be familiar with many of them. The puzzles are beautiful to look at as well as a joy to play. The wood is an exotic hardwood, East Indian Walnut (also called Mother’s tongue or Raintree) a renewable farmed tree that has the grain structure and appearance of Teak. It has a wonderful tactile feel, and will last a lifetime with proper care. We recommend occasionally adding wood oil or a good furniture polish to keep the wood looking and felling healthy. See our Feed-n-Wax product above, which is particularly good for this purpose.
Most of the games have wood covers that the game board can lay in while you’re playing. When its time to put the game away the cover will protect the pieces and allow easil travel .
Our best selling game is “Shut the Box” and we highly recommend this as a fantastic fast paced family game. Its will delight all ages from 5 to 95. We also sell these to schools (its very educational for grades K-4), bars (can be a gambling or drinking game…) and nursing homes, so it’s really got quite a range of fans! Also great in the car or on the beach.
