Description
Dr. Crist received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) College of Dentistry in 1981. After practicing general dentistry for nine years, he went on to earn an M.A. degree in management from Bellevue University in Omaha and an M.S. degree along with his specialty certificate in orthodontics from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virgina. Throughout his schooling Dr. Crist received numerous awards and honors for academic distinction.
In addition to being actively involved in civic and church activities, Dr. Crist is a member of many professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Board of Orthodontics, and the South Dakota Dental Association. He served as the Director of Advanced Education in General Dentistry in the Department of Pathology, Diagnosis and Radiology and is currently a guest lecturer in the Department of Practice Management at UNMC College of Dentistry. He has published several articles and presented research at state, national and international meetings.
Dr. Crist enjoys sports of all kinds, landscaping and collecting antique pendulum clocks. He and his wife, Lisa, have two children, Austin and Jace.
