Christ Church was founded in 1955 and met in the Plaza Theater at Poplar Avenue and Highland for the first 140 Sundays. Locally, our diverse 6,000-member congregation supports numerous inner-city ministries, especially in the Binghampton community. Our international focus centers on Zambia, Russia and China. Our mission is to glorify God as we make, mature and mobilize disciples of Jesus Christ. As we look toward our future, we feel called:

To serve as a reconciliation center, especially in Binghampton, where we are committed to transforming the neighborhood and the lives of those who live there

To take "a cup of cold water and the Gospel" around the world, especially to people located in the 10/40 window where 97 percent of the people who have never heard the Gospel live
