The Cubberla-Witton Catchments Network was officially launched in July 1999 with the aims of
Initial members included representatives from Waterwatch, The Hut Environment and Community Association (THECA) and all of the Habitat Brisbane bushcare groups (comprised of local residents working with Brisbane City Council) then located in the Witton and Cubberla Catchments. The Habitat Brisbane groups and other independent groups have increased and today there are 14 groups with various affiliations working in the area.
The Network’s aims are to link groups and individuals who share an interest in the health of the catchments and their waterways. The Operating Guidelines define the Network's role and objectives as well as organisational structures and matters.
