June 2006 -- Curious moves into the mobile space with the announcement that Nick Jr. will debut two mini-pilots on wireless carriers produced by the studio. The debut of “Pass the Pinha” and “All Aboard” mark the network’s first-ever launch of original short-form content on the wireless platform. The shorts will also be available on Nick Jr.’s broadband channel, Nickjr.com. The pilots were directed by Elanna Allen.
May 2006 -- Curious Pictures signs the Electric Company to an exclusive U.S. representation and co-production agreement. Curious will now be offering the eclectic work of the Electric Company's roster of animators to U.S. ad agency and broadcast design clients. One of the EC directors--Crankbunny--wraps its first job for Fallon Worldwide at the time of the signing. The Electric Company directors have also produced animated TV spots for Wieden + Kennedy and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners.
