- Racks is pleased to be entering its seventh decade of wire manufacturing excellence. Racks was founded in 1936 by Harry Wall to manufacturer his patented oven roasting rack, of which he made and sold over 3 million. By the 1940's Racks began manufacturing custom wire displays, which we continue to do today, in our third generation of family ownership and operation. Racks was based in Pasadena, California through 1973, when Racks moved to Whittier, California where we manufactured for 20 years. In 1992 Racks moved its production operations to Tijuana, B.C. Mexico .
