About the site
These pages were created and they are still developed by several prestigious Czech institutions mainly, but not only for foreigners who want some brief, but serious information about the Czech language. More information can be found in literature mentioned in each section apart.
The encoding used in the pages is ISO-8859-2 (so called ISO-Latin-2), although the most of pages are in English, and thus they are readable in any encoding. For further information about encodings of Czech on computers, see the section Alphabet > Encoding.
