Da-Anime is an anime site with thousands of animes and mangas for free download. They also offer official soundtrack downloads, asian movies and drama downloads and artbook downloads. All downloads are 100% free. They do not require registration to download, which is rare amongst anime sites.

Their content are mostly hosted on free file hosts, such as Megaupload. They are anti-Rapidshare and do not allow rapidshare to be posted on any part of their site.

Da-Anime started off as a blogspot blog [1] when SadistiX was pissed off with warez forums where everyone is a rapidshare-lover. Da-Anime was started to make a difference, however little, and influence people to start using Megaupload instead of Rapidshare.

Then at 2004-2005 Warzone (the owner) thought of it about making a website about anime (well actually SadistiX did),so then then thats how da-anime came to be as well as the first forum on vBulletin. Da-anime gained in popularity very fast and a year later (2006) the owners decided that the website needed a more professional look. Warzone hosted the site on a dedicated server and obtained a domain name which today is da-anime.org .

But this is the problem. There was a lot of wars around the da-anime.org. Its popularity was getting bigger and the other website was getting jealous. So then the da-anime was strong, fought for its people and never once lost a battle until that day...

edit The coming of Ashe and the beginning of the World Spam War

In mid 2007, Sadistix finally brought back the forums with the re-introducing of phpBB 2 and all was stable. Stable enough to roll out a new site and actually get some good and well deserved uploads posted on the forum.

Then came Ashe. This mild mannered seemingly-harmless girl arrived onto the scene in Early August 2007. In the short span of a month she had amassed more than 2000 posts (mostly consisting of spam in the spam section). This gave way to her taking on "pets", or forum users with a special userbar in their "siggy" proclaiming their loyalty to her as either her Pet, Perverted Pet, Or Child (although only one person actually is considered her child). This created a rift within the DA forum members of some who advocated and lobbied for equal rights for all pets or no pets at all and those who fiercely defended Ashe as their leader. The lobbyists eventually gained tax-exempt status and were legally required to form a group with a name and a functioning leader. They started calling themselves the AAA, or the Anti Ashe Alliance with Playgus as their Leader. Ashe, out of good humor, made them their own logo, thinking that her power was untouchable and that the AAA would not last long.

The AAA gained strength with it's slowly gathering members, ranging from powerhouse spammers such as the legendary Playgus, to the mentally unstable known as Morbe [a group of thousands of voices (quote from one of Morbe's posts: "I'm not mentally insane, I'm just mentally unstable.")]. But an inner power struggle had come to light within the AAA and Morbe and many others eventually left the AAA, casting aside their userbars, and became mercenary's, while AAA faithful quietly disbanded and faded into the background. Ashe had won, but she had only won the battle. Within a week of the AAA's collapse a new group emerged on the scene, calling themselves Avatars of Eternity, as they never change their outward appearance, contrary to Ashe, who changes every 2-3 weeks. The AoE thrived on the many long time forumers who were either too lazy to change their appearance or just didn't want to, and if found support among many members immediately. The AoE was founded by Venom-C along with Sabre-X, known for being the only spammers with a single letter last name. They quickly and quietly inducted Playgus, BrightNeko and many others into their cause, and that cause was to defeat the monster who had now reigned supreme over the spam section, capturing pets at every turn. The AoE Struck first freeing many pets including Tomanadi. Ashe struck back by publicly declaring war on the AoE. And thus it began.

edit The Spam War

In the month of September 2007, Da-forums was in the grips two world powers fighting for supremacy. The AoE had long established and loyal members, but they were too few. Ashe and her army of pets made multiple spam bomb drops onto Da-spam, AoE's home turf. AoE was overrun with posts that literally meant nothing and in the Battle of 4 Nights, a causality was felt by the AoE: Sabre-X had been taken during the fighting. AoE faithful fell by the boatload after the capture and Ashe looked to be nearly unbeatable, but then the impossible happened.

On September 5th, in classic double agent style, Tomanadi freed many pets from the inside after being "exchanged" for Da-warez, which Ashe had taken over only 2 days earlier. The pets swarmed the guards inside Ashe's tower and took control in a classic mutiny. Ashe and her loyal followers were forced to flee the enormous number of pets coming after her. BrightNeko made the decision to stay behind and defend her Mom, ultimately leading to her being released as well. The pets quickly regrouped at the AoE HQ and they celebrated their first victory over the ultimate evil of Ashe. Ashe fled into the forest surrounding Da-forums, as hasn't been seen again for some time, though some say she is gathering power in the nearby forums while others say she has changed her appearance so that she can walk freely among the users and gather more pets in order to regain her throne. AoE still patrols Da-spam with constant vigilance, waiting for the first sign of another pet uprising. Sources also say they are currently working on releasing all the pets Ashe had captured, though it does take time. "Hopefully Ashe doesn't attack again, but if she does, we'll be ready for her." one AoE member was quoted as saying. He wished to remain anonymous.

Da-spam has maintained a peaceful import/export business since that day.

edit Uprising

Ever since that day there has been animosity between some residents, the most famous being the feud between Enosioph and one calling herself Ashe. But deep within the bowels of the spam section (AoE's HQ mind you) there has been a quiet mutiny, hidden from the prying eyes of the public and press as a quaint, non-suspicious posting that has attracted many comers without actually having them realize what it is for. The posting was started by one claiming to be the Ashe of the past and it stated that she was on a nearby hill. Whoever could remain on that hill for the longest time during a month would be the one Ashe revealed herself too and the sole challenger she would accept in a one on one battle. All the AoE members immediately rushed to the nearby hill, along with some non-AoE members, because of the fact that "We're not scared of Ashe any more and we want to prove ourselves to the AoE that the townspeople are on their side." one Da-spam resident was quoted as saying.

This gave way to a huge battle on top of the hill between the AoE members. The term was reached that whoever won the Battle of the Hill would be crowned as the AoE's new leader. Whoever was posing as Ashe certainly accomplished half her plan, placing doubt and suspicion into the ranks of the AoE.

The month has passed and Ashe has revealed herself! It was unlucky that she revealed herself when most, if not all of the AoE, was sleeping. Ashe has revealed herself to UpInYa and has made a declaration of war to the AoE

While a secret army known only to many of the older members from the first forums, the so called "Sushi Cat Army" run by Sushi Cat himself spoken for by teenPSPjunkie has been gathering its forces in the background and infiltrating every rank of the forums. Whilst this has not been a very big problem in the last 6 months it has been hinted in MSN conversions that there will soon be another uprising lead by sushi cat.

edit Oya Matou, God of ???

Oya Matou.. not much is known about this person. Yeah that's right. You can surf anywhere in Da-Forums without bumping into this brandname. With his weird looks and his dumb tone, annoying all members, disliked by women, cherished by men. He is the Empty Shell of Godliness. The Leader of such groups as: The Anti-Pie Alliance [EAPA], The Anti-Spam Alliance [ESPA], and The Anti-Anti-Alliance [AAA]. He uploads anime in AVI, giving him the title of AviOya... ok maybe not, but he does upload a heavy amount of anime, most which is in AVI format. He likes to talk in Third Person, don't we all though?

The large uploader base and frequent crashing of the Da-Anime site has resulted in many collective anime blogs being set up by their uploaders. Da-Network has already grown again !! Da-Anime has launched its official Anime-StreamingSite Da-AniStreams !! Hundreds of animes to watch online for free!!

• You must realise Oya Matou as a weirdo.
• You mustn't eat everything what Ashe gives to you, including maltesers.
• You mustn't join in any of Ashe's groups: A Stalker, Pet, Toy, or Slave
• DA is a very group oriented neighborhood. You must belong to a group when you join, be it the AoE as a temp member, or take part in Ashe's uprising as her pet, you must belong to a group.
• You must have some level of questionable sanity. If we can not question it, it does not exist and you will be marked as such.
• You must have an avatar. If you do not then Morbe will assault you with Oh Noes until you get one. So get one as soon as you join. You also must have a siggy or you will not get premmy's or be acknowledged by any member. Your siggy can be just text and you will be acknowledged to some degree, but not as an actual person. edit The spam section

The most devious section on the forums. This section has spawned more things of unknown origin than UFO's. You do not want to ever find yourself trapped in the back alley of this section. And if you must walk through it to get where you are going, keep a hand in your pocket at all times so you can make sure your wallet is there. You also may want to store your sanity in a bank and only take travelers checks if you even must set one foot in this section. The residents are deadly.

The occupants of the spam section includes nearly everyone who has the top 15 post counts, but the biggest names there are Playgus, Ashe, UpInYa, Morbe, Midoban, Sunkissed_Angel, Venom-C and Sabre-X. These residents of the spam section can smell fresh, non-spammed threads from a mile away and rumor has it that they even employ spam monkeys and spam demons. Their biggest weapons are Word, Seconded, Oh Noes, Murderer, Nya~, and xD. Do not try to talk them out of spamming you for it is futile. Just remember: "All your threads are belong to spam".

It should have become obvious, by now, most residents are totally insane. Here's the outline of the bunch so you can be somewhat prepared for what is to come when you enter their domain.

Roundly/Kannon: Used to be the Spam God untill he got lazy. Now he Spends his Days as the God of Kaleism, and ruleing the world with his awesome powers of Sleeping and being Lazy Not much else is know about this Epicly Cool Guy Except you all Must HAIL HIM

Ashe: the name is believed to be derived from "a she", referring to the obvious fact. However, it is also believed to be derived from "as he". Though, it could also be from a trainer named Ash but then with an extra "e", because the user misspelled the name. Upon meeting this member, you will soon be bombarded to either a pet, stalker, servant, toy, slave or all of the above. This member often neglects pets after obtaining them, many have suffered this cruel fate. Ashe also has somewhat of an affection towards the care bears, though it is common belief this affection expresses itself in a negative way. This is probably the cause of denial.

Andy: So much to say but to be brief, hes just plain AWESOME. Apparently this guy is one of those "special children" in DA. This was once found inside a giant shoe box. In a report about his Intelligence Quotient (I.Q.) he got a score of 5 in which he is as smart as a snail.

KiraxYamato: Not really a spammers like the other. They call him God of Premium since he give out free yes I said it "FREE" Megaupload's Premium to members mostly everyday. He wins so many without luck. Respect him or perish with the other who didn't give him the respect he deserve.KiraxYamato is always on Da-Anime mostly everyday. He also make AMV's and has his own personal blog and AMV site.

BrightNeko: She is a "pet" to everyone on da-forums(with a few exceptions), please note that her being a pet is not from anyones choice to enslave her...but rather it is from her own desire to be everyones pet...BrightNeko. What species she is...is highly questionable since she appears to be an interesting cross between Neko and Fairy (size about 4.2 inches). All in all she is one of the members to keep your eyes out for. Why? Because when shes around...your either going to be having fun...or you are going to be getting castrated. Her current residence is Trickster Island found in America

Kameha4th: A very intelligent man ,yet known for a spam god who rules all of the gods out there (except ashe and Roundly/Kannon).He is very dependable yet for he knows a lot of secrets of each members in the d-a.He has this habit of saying upinya is a murderer, but soon later believed this foul creature. He also once had a crush on "sadistiX" ,(the admin of the site),thinking that hes a girl,but yet later discovered that hes a guy.

Morbe: A very religious man indeed, this guy often uses the term "oh noes". He has also stated that, if at one point in time he has the need for some extra assistance, he could rally up a large group of "oh noes"-users. Probably the only person that is at constant war with his alter egos (yes there is actually quite a number of them)so dont be caught of guard if you get the feeling that many different people are posting.Also known for the quote: " I reject your reality and substitute my own". He retired from spam a while back, but has returned to active duty. It appears that his insanity was still needed, for the spam slowly turned to a more sensible section. After his return, spam returned to it's former glory, but not it's former former glory but that's another case. He is known to use beer to bribe other users, which has been successfully on Venom-C and Sabre-X. It is rumored that his membership of AoE has been the result of beer.

Playgus: One of the most mysterious beings found in the Forums (mainly Spam-section). He is ranked first in the Top 10 Spammer List but except his god-like spamming ability nothing is further known. Some members believe "Playgus" is only a code name for a secret 3 man spamming cell which is trying to gain control over the Forums. Others claim to know Playgus lives in Germany, but no one has confirmed that yet (he himself denies that).

Sabre-X: often wrongly spelled as Saber-X is the only normal person amongst these spammers. He is not a spammer himself. He also wanted to return spam to it's former former glory (as opposed to morbe turning spam into it's former glory), but the current members are not capable or willing to let that happen (yes, it is a sad situation indeed). He is often accompanied by a bonta-kun with the cross-shaped scar across the cheek (note that bonta-kun does not follow him to the bathroom and some other stuff you usually don't want people following you).

Chaige: Literally came out of nowhere in August of 2007, before the post limits were set and immediately set about to becoming one of the top 10 spammers. His goal had almost been accomplished when the spam war broke out. Ashe's spam bombs wiped out most of his former posts thereby reducing his post count to a mere 500. However, he has been gaining strength with the help of his spam buddies Morbe, Playgus and UpInYa with randomly shouting Oh Noes, Seconded and Agreed. He can be found normally in Da-warez , posting uploads or in Da-spam with everybody else.

UpInYa: Though this person has shown several character traits of a hikikomori, it appears he is no such person. His postcount could have been even greater than Playgus' but the lack of spam buddies at is active times were limited which in turn limited his spam rate. You can find this guy in the back alleys of the spam section, that's one thing which is certain. The only question would be your survival. He has a certain resembles with a piñata, which has led to several assaults from small children with sticks. These children are quickly disapointed after they taste the reddish fluid that leave UpInYa's body (as a result of their physical assault) and realise it's not lemonade.

Venom-C: Your regular office time spammer. Like Sabre-X wants to return spam to it's former former glory, but has had little success. It also appears he has given in to the actions of the other spam-section crawlers, for his spam have been becoming less and less sensible along the way. He can often be found at a hill or around the MC Ronald MCdonald's. There have been incidents where Venom will slap a complete stranger for no apparent reason. Note that at some times, the ground will shake for a second, this is a result of Venom slapping the world for an invalid reason. Venom likes long walks by the beach, beer and doing the macarena while standing on his hands and eating a hamburger (it appears he his the only known person to be able to perform this act, but nobody has actually seen him do this). Accompanied by the pale looking guy, with white shirt and a blown up haircut using a spoon (though it is rumored to have been a knife in the past).

Dwarflord V: A spam king from the old site. Also has the same wish as Sabre and Venom to restore spam to its former glory. Has been absent for a long time, but has recently begun again and therefore has a lot of catching up to do. He too is a member of the AoE. Presently his spam is still making sense as it was before. Time will tell us about Dwarf's progress in his once noble kingdom.

Sunkissed_Angel: one of the most notorious female spammers in Da-spam. She disappeared for a while but, it is believed by Sabre that this was because she had to go to the sun to prevent it from blowing up. The sun, however, never intended to selfdestruct but just wanted to give her a kiss (thus honoring the name Sunkissed_Angel). She recently returned to activity and has already overtaken many spammer in the matter of postcount. It has been known that she is also called a "speed typing demon/spammer" by at least one other spammer. It is most likely that she will be top poster in a month or less. A notable feature is the ichigo (I will not go into further detail, the only thing I can say is: Peanut Butter Jelly Time!!)

AccessKey: AccessKey is an individual with varying degree of questionable insanity. Due to the highly playful nature, the person’s gender remains to be questioned at times and many allegations of cross dressing are made. There are rumors abounding of a child and or a litter of kittens came of AccessKey but nothing is known who is the mother or the father or the true origins of these that have the right to use anything which are normally reserved for those with authority.

Axellx: Relatively new to the spam forums, and also a semi retired noobie spammer, Axellx is known for his mood swings, predominantly his tendancy to turn into "Evil Axell" at any moment. Referring to him and using the last x in his name upsets him as he prefers just being called Axell, and it has been said that using the last x in his name causes God to kill a kitten. He also regularly attempts to win the sotw contest but has yet to come close as he is still a budding gfxer. His skills improved while on Da's daughter site, Gfxroom, run by Hentaiking, Fuu, and other Da members. After the site closing prank on April fool's this year, he attempted to form an anti Mido league but the thread was taken over and became the Mido is cool Club, the culprit is still unknown. He is also one of the founding members of FPS or Fluffy Pink Soldiers, a Fanclub For Naoki, a beloved member of the forums with an upload list as long as the Great Wall of China. Axellx (kitten dies) also has a love for explosions and because of this, his weapon of choice while destroying fellow spammers is the missile, and has been known to destroy "the hill" many times with it. He is also an avid fan of Evangelion, and Gendo Ikari is his hero, which is why his avatar is of Gendo, staring at your soul while his plan comes to fruition mwahahahahahahaha! *cough*

Da-Forum Spammers These group of spammers are mythical creatures and have never shown themselves before anyone. Their post count are far greater than Playgus' ever will be, but all their stats are invisible as are their posts. They know not of sleep, nor food, nor bathroom brakes. You can hear them at night when it's quiet outside and inside and you are roaming the spam section, then you pass out. It is said that their presence causes a nausea effect and that you can not be in the same thread as them.

Googlebot Proud member of AoE, though he does not wear the colors. Has found a special place in the spam section and is respected far and wide by many. Even though he does not interacts much with other spammers, they still consider him as "one of them". Googlebot has his own site which many use on a daily basis. And is often searching for pr0n (so they say). Is particularly fond of blueberry pie, but this rumor has not been verified by googlebot himself.
