- Daneen Augello stumbled onto glass while finishing up her undergraduate fine art degree in the winter of 2000. She began an apprenticeship which lasted over two years and introduced her to a world she never expected to be a part of. Here she learned both the classic and contemporary techniques of lampworking and began experimenting with the two. She found the nature of borosicilate glass to lend itself well in achieving detail and intricate design within a small space. This led to a focus on jewelry and in the late summer of 2003 daa glass, pronounced day-uh, was born. Daneen now creates wearable glass. She works alone out of a small studio in New Jersey. Each piece is one of a kind and is individually hand blown and kiln annealed by Daneen. She feels blessed to be able to experience glass in it's motlen state and passes the wonder and excitement she receives from it on into every piece.
