Changes in reading habits, technological advances and the availability of disposable income has meant fewer people are now reading newspapers; people have less time to read and people have to be prudent about what they spend their money on.
It's a challenge that has excited us at the Daily News! The new challenge for our title means we can no longer stay as we were. We cannot just have "more of the same". Although under slight pressure, the Daily News remains the flagship title in KwaZulu-Natal, a popular and vibrant newspaper with substantial advertising volumes - advertising that brings response and works for its clients.

The Daily News engages its readers through issues raised in its columns as well as interactive forums in public and synergies with radio stations that share the same positioning in the market. With the help of readers, we help identify burning issues affecting their daily lives, interact with them in addressing these issues and give them the pleasure and satisfaction of taking ownership of solutions to problems.
