Dr. Canfield has a career long history of volunteering. Early on his father told him “those of us with special skills should share.” Since 1998 he has been working one day each month on the Medical Teams In’tl dental van and was honored by the Oregon Dental Association as volunteer dentist of the year in 2007. He led seven dental mission trips to Cambodia between 2002 & 2009 serving orphans. For the last three years he’s been involved with reviving Creston Childrens Dental Clinic, a free clinic for children in the Portland Public Schools.
