I live in Decatur, IL and have lived here most of my life. I am originally from the Effingham, IL area and still have many relatives down there. I come from a family of seven. My loving parents, Phil & Kathy, have been happily married since 1971. I have 2 brothers: an older brother, Mike, and a younger brother, Jeff. I also have 2 younger sisters: Julie and Joyce. My brother Mike is married to Jennifer and has two beautiful daughters: Monica and Brianna. My brother Jeff is married to April and also has two beautiful daughters, Kaitlyn & Ashley. My sister Julie has an adorable daughter, Natalie. My sister Joyce is married to Richard; they don't have any children... yet. As for me, I'm married to a very special lady named Kristin. We were married on June 4th, 2005 and since that time God has richly blessed our marriage. We do not have any children but we intend to; we just want a year or so to ourselves first. In God's time...

My faith is very important to me. Although I came from a Catholic family and I was brought up in the Catholic church it wasn't until I was 22 years old that I finally understood what God did for us when He sent Jesus to die on a cross for our sins. In 1992 I began attending a baptist church with the girl that I was dating at the time. The gospel was preached at this church and my ears and heart slowly began to open up to it. If you want to read my whole story you can, but for this page I'll just say that God finally reached me and in August of 1995 I was born again; I gave my life to Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says "What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun!" (New Living Translation) I daily strive to be all that God has called me to be in Christ Jesus by dying to myself and living for Him. Although I was raised Catholic and came to know the Lord in a Southern Baptist church, I now attend an Assemblies of God church (Glad Tidings) where I am also on staff. Still, I consider myself to be non-denominational as I believe that ultimately all Christians are members of one body, the body of Christ.

Being raised Catholic, I also attended private Catholic grade schools and high school (St. Teresa High School in Decatur, IL) where I graduated in '91. I then attended Millikin University (also in Decatur) where I majored in Commercial Art/Computer Graphic Design. After 3 1/2 years of college I was ready for a break and decided to drop-out. I ended up taking a year and a half off before returning part-time (while working full-time) in the Spring of '97. In May of '99 I completed my Bachelors of Fine Arts in Commercial Art/Computer Graphic Design. I have not given serious consideration to further formal education (though I also have not ruled out the possibility).
